I know that 2021 isn’t over yet, but we are close enough to start reflecting on what happened this year and begin to plan for 2022. As I look back on 2021, I am grateful that I am here to write this and you are here to read this.  We take each day for granted even though we all really know that tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.

As I reflect back on 2021, once again I am blown away by all the changes and cool new things in my business and personal life. While I speak with most of you fairly often, please let me share some of the highlights of 2021 that help to make me and USWM who and what we are today.

Two new Grand Babies were born in 2021.  Cassidy in January and Skylar just a month ago.  They are both beautiful and healthy! The granddaughters now lead the grandsons 3-2… but sit tight… I’m certain that there will be more on this front in 2022.

Joanie and I finally took the plunge and now own a condo in FL.  Something I resisted for years. But now that it is a reality, I must admit that I am pretty excited. Just yesterday as I sat here in Estero, FL, a healthy and strong looking Bobcat walked right by my lanai.  I can’t believe I’m using the word lanai… who decided that screened in porches should be called that in FL?

Being my 65th B-Day is the end of this month, I am officially enrolled in Medicare!  WOW… how did I get here?

On the business front, earlier this year we sold off the other USWM offices to Great Valley Advisors in PA.  A great move on many fronts, with the largest benefit being that my time is now 100% dedicated to our clients and the terrific team that we have built. I feel like a kid in a candy store with all the excitement and fun stuff happening in my business life.

The Team continues to outperform and exceed expectations through their dedication and talent.  We added new services this year, namely a family office division and a consulting arm to handle alternative investments like real estate, private equity and private debt.

The team will grow again in 2022.  We are in the final interviews for another financial planning associate and will add new partners to the team in 2022.  This is exciting but I can’t let that cat out of the bag until January when it all actually happens.

And of course, Jenn is on maternity leave because she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Tessa Mary.  Congrats to Jenn and John Elstermeyer! We look forward to her return in April 2022.

Please take the time to reflect on all the goodness that happened for you in 2021.  There is still some time to add to that list, so get on it.

I wish you all a belated Happy Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas and a blessed and joyful New Year.
