Everyone has always told me that parenting doesn’t really start until you have your second child, so Ashley and I are up for the challenge with our second child coming in early April 2022. Each time we fill someone in on our exciting news they always ask a set of questions. Let me help answer a few of the more popular ones.
No. We do not know if we are having a boy or a girl. Hard to believe me as the planner would let this happen. We didn’t find out for our first and it was one of the most exciting days of my life… so we wanted to do it again. Will we be a house divided? Or a house dominated by women? We shall see.
Yes. We are staying put in our house (for the time being). We have made it a habit of moving every few years and have managed to do it around large life events. For our Natalie, we had an open house to sell our South End condo when she was about 3 weeks old. This time we are staying put. The few small projects we are planning will help scratch the moving itch (for now). Fortunately this house has room for another child. Let’s hope we have enough room for all the ‘stuff’ that comes with it.
Maybe. Our daughter Natalie isn’t quite sure what is about to happen when the baby comes back to the house. Is she excited? Maybe. Is she in for a big change? Definitely.
Absolutely. I will be taking some time off to help bring our second child into this world and to acclimate to our new lives. Our team will be here to help the first few weeks of April with any questions or requests you may have. After that I will work my way back with some Zoom meetings and eventually into our office in Braintree. Now with Dante and Nick on the team to help, we will be more than ready.
We hope everyone is having a good start to 2022. Until next time…
