Fun, Friends, and Philanthropy

My first real-life experience with cancer was my Mom, who passed 37 years ago, just 5 months after our wedding. You may have noticed that you received the invite to our 6th annual U.S. Wealth Jimmy Fund Classic this past week. Everyone knows someone who has dealt with cancer, and in today’s world some people are being cured and living longer, but there is still a long way to go.
When we decided over 6 years ago to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund, it was an easy decision. Did you know that Dana Farber holds more patents for cancer treatments than anyone else in the world? This doesn’t happen by wishing for a cure, it happens with dedication, time, and money.
With that in mind, I am asking for your time, dedication, and contribution to help support the lifesaving work being done at DFCI. When you support our cause, 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity. We never even touch the money.
- 100% of the golf and other activities are paid for by U. S. Wealth Management.
- 100% of your contribution goes directly to Dana Farber/The Jimmy Fund.
For those of you who have asked all year if we are holding the tournament again, you now know the answer… yes. Friday, September 24 at Scituate Country Club. Golf is limited to 60 players to ensure a reasonable pace of play. We ordered a picture-perfect weather day, lunch, beverages, appetizers, and a couple of very special gifts for you.
Please sign up today so this doesn’t get to the bottom of the pile. I’m always very humbled at the generosity and responsiveness of our friends…especially those who choose to contribute that can’t join the outing.
And, yes… I will have my ‘special’ golf pants on that day. I’d love to see you there so you can see me dressed like Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity.
