Honeymooning

I had been told getting married was well worth the honeymoon alone. Admittedly, I am beginning to believe them! A lot of people have been asking about the trip, so I wanted to share the places we went and a few of our favorite pictures.

Ashley and I were very fortunate to be able to take two weeks off, exploring places such as Paris, The Amalfi Coast, and Rome. In the Amalfi Coast we stayed in Annacapri and Positano—having time to visit the towns of Amalfi, Capri, and Rovello. My mother’s side of the family is all Italian and everywhere we looked we saw doppelgangers of one of my uncles, aunts, or cousins! We got a good chuckle out of it (and took some funny pictures of them too!)

One of my favorite stories took place was within a nice restaurant in Positano, Italy. Long story short, they have quite an impressive seafood menu and the catch of the day caught my eye. It was listed on the menu as ‘Grilled Catch of the Day’ which I assumed was a grilled filet of fish. Oh boy was I wrong! When our food was served my plate had the entire fish– eyeballs and all! Ashley and I couldn’t stop laughing (which may have been the wine’s fault), but it ended up being one of our favorite meals.

It’s official, we have closed the chapter on the engagement/wedding phase and now on to married life. We can only hope it will be as fun and adventurous as the past 9+ years!

We did so many wonderful things, and to help capture our fun, here are some pictures we would like to share:
